although i didn't do very well in my race this past weekend i am certainly very far from giving up. with all of the Boston Marathon press coverage on TV this morning i keep thinking back on the 10k and it just keeps coming to me over and over again that, in general, runners make a very supportive community. they cheer for complete strangers and congratulate even those runners in the bottom fifteen. it's just great.
so i'm going to keep on running. tomorrow i'm going to get back on track. i'm going to run three miles tomorrow and three on thursday. then saturday i'm going to try for four and gradually build up my distance. i'm also going to read up on some changes that i need to make to my diet to prepare for a race. i'm going to register for a few more races in the next few months and i'm definitely going to try to reach my goal of running in at least one road race each year until i'm 40.

I am so proud of you and your weight loss and your running and your positive attitude!
what a team.
you're making me feel guilty for not wanting to run tomorrow. i'm glad one of us is staying motivated.
